The mission of the Danbury Museum & Historical Society Authority is to acquire, preserve, exhibit, and interpret the heritage and history of Danbury for the purpose of education, information, and research. Your monetary donations help the Friends of the Danbury Museum support our mission.
Thank YOU!
"Don't throw it away, in Danbury it should stay." We are always happy to consider your Danbury-related items for our collection.
Hats, hat boxes, quilts, costumes, toys, books, photographs, documents and postcards that are related to Danbury are among the things we accept.
If you are clearing out an old house or you have items that you'd perhaps like to donate, please call the museum or send an email to m.amundsen@danbury-ct.gov. Our Collecting Policy and other important donor-related documents are downloadable at the link below.
There is always project here at the Danbury Museum! We have a lot of different volunteer options--from data entry to greeting our visitors--and if you're interested in giving your time, please reach out to us at b.guertin@danbury-ct.gov or
